“Summer Woods”: watercolour mounted on wood panel, 8 x 8”
Here’s another case where cropping rescued an unsuccessful painting. I cut this 8 x 8” section out of a 12 x 16” painting that I didn’t like, and mounted it on a little wooden panel.
That kind of felt like cheating, though, so I also did a page of one-minute sketches. Out of practice here too! I have a new tool, though, that I didn’t have when I used to do these back in 2016-17: “Hey, Siri, set a timer for one minute.”
