"Pear XXXIX" Acrylic, 24 x 24"
I have been resisting getting back to painting with acrylics. It's been so long, I wasn't sure I remembered how. Today I finally did it. When I got out my gear, I found that the sponge for my Stay-Wet palette was too dried up and disintegrated to use; I had to run out and buy a replacement. But then, at last, I got going.
I had an unfinished piece in the basement, so I decided to finish it.... a good way to get back into the medium, I thought. Here is the result. It's the latest in my long-running "Pears in Squares" series; at 24x24", it's the biggest one I've ever done.
