The title of this post is my name for one of my favourite art journal exercises. I find some old piece and change it somehow, usually by cutting it up and reassembling it.
This morning I came across an old watercolour painting from 2003 (pictured here, and now gone forever) and decided to take this approach. The result is, I think, much more interesting and thought-provoking than the original, because it's open to interpretation by the viewer.
